Sagal – Set Me Free / Rush

London’s GD4YA is one of myriad labels to have got involved with the UKG revival recently but is one that contuse to stand itself proud from the crowd.

This one has been produced by former label artist Karma but finds him explore a very different sound with vocals from Sagal.

‘Set Me Free’ is a deep and smoky house tune with a vocal hook that is full of longing. ‘Rush’ is even slower, more heart broken and absorbing with scattered beats and percussive sounds a subtle framework that allows Sagal to really shine.

Yaw Evans steps up with a slight more club-ready sound but only just – the deep beats are still laidback and pensive.
