Plastician – Dreading

Dread is a mood we can all relate to; perhaps out of all styles of UK dance music, dark garage and dubstep are the ones that capture the feeling most.

What’s more, we’re glad to see Plastician is still about; ‘Dreading’ is an unforeseen three-tracker, with one original version and two stellar remixes from ghosty legend El-B and new player Karma in tow.

The original is trancey, night-time-city-scaping and downtrodden. El-B’s version lowers things a semitone and brings broken-beaty, rimshotty flair to the fold. Karma’s is the dubbiest; laptop speakers won’t do their version justice, so make sure you plug your bins in!
