In the early days supported by DJ EZ, DJ Slimzee, pirate stations and MC crews, the UKG scene changed after Narrows’ first underground release. Raves soon started to embrace the edgy, dark bass-driven new garage sound and at the time, UKG became more accommodating to the other boundary-pushing artists helping to shape early Grime and Dubstep.
A primary source of UK Bassline, Narrows’ influence can be heard. The definitive 2001 Dark Garage track Saved Soul’s shockwave is still felt today.
Born out of Narrows’ visions and experimentations came an uncompromising harder form of 4×4 UK Garage
